Yongjia County, a county under the jurisdiction of Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China, is located in the southeast of Zhejiang Province, on the north bank of the lower reaches of Ou River, east of Yueqing and Huangyan, west of Qingtian and Jinyun, north of Xianju, and south of Wenzhou City across the river. With a total area of 2,674 square kilometers and a population of 789,200, the People ’s Government of Yongjia County is resident at No. 94, Xianqian Road, Beicheng Sub-district, Shangtang Central District. It governs 7 streets, 11 towns and 4 townships. Known as the “hometown of China’s longevity”, “hometown of China’s pumps and valves”, “China’s button capital”, “Chinese toy capital”. Yongjia has a long history. In the third year of Hanhe Emperor Yonghe (AD 138), Yongning County was established. In the ninth year of Sui Kaihuang (AD 589), it was renamed Yongjia County. The meaning of “water is long and beautiful” is also the origin of Wenzhou culture. Yongjia was liberated in May 1949, and Shuangxi County was established. In September, Shuangxi County was renamed Yongjia County. The former site of the government of Shuangxi County was the East Ancestral Hall of Lishui Street in Yantou Town.
In December 2018, Yongjia County was selected as one of the top 100 county economic investment potentials in the country.
