Zhushan District is the municipal district of Jingdezhen City in Jiangxi Province. Zhushan District is located in the northeast of Jiangxi Province and is the main urban area of ​​Jingdezhen City. It is adjacent to Fuliang County in the northeast and borders with Changjiang District in the southwest. It has a total area of ​​111 square kilometers and a registered population of 330,000 ( In 2018), it governs 1 town, 9 streets, 14 administrative villages, and 54 neighborhood committees.

The annual rainfall is 1805 mm and the weather is distinct in four seasons. The Anhui-Jiangxi Railway and the 308 Provincial Highway pass directly through the border area. The former site of the 10th Military Commission Office of the Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army is also in the territory.

Zhushan was originally called Lima Mountain. Later, due to the mountain winding, it was said that the five dragons snatched the beads. The Tang Dynasty changed its name to Zhushan. The district’s jurisdiction is the place of ancient towns in the dynasty. Tang Wude was placed in the county for four years (621 AD), and it was under the jurisdiction of Xinping, Xinchang, and Fuliang County. In the first year of Jingde in the Northern Song Dynasty (AD 1004), Song Zhenzong Zhao Hengzhao changed the name of Changnan Town to Jingdezhen, and Zhushan was part of Jingdezhen.

In March 1970, the Jingbei District was established. It was renamed Zhushan District in March 1979, and the People’s Government of Zhushan District was established in December 1980.

On March 6, 2019, the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the State Administration of Cultural Heritage announced the list of “Counties for the Protection and Utilization of Revolutionary Cultural Relics (The First Batch)”, in which Zhushan District was included.
