Zhejiang, WuZhen area and Shu Daxia signed the contract successfully!
Wuzhen is located in Tongxiang, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. It is located in the “Golden Triangle” of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai and the hinterland of the Hangjiahu Plain. It is 60 kilometers away from Hangzhou and Suzhou and 106 kilometers away from Shanghai. It belongs to the Taihu Lake Basin, with rivers intertwined vertically and horizontally. Wuzhen was originally divided into two towns of Wuqing and Wuzhen by the city and river. Hexi is Wuzhen, which belongs to Wucheng County, Huzhou Prefecture; Hedong is Qingzhen, which belongs to Tongxiang County, Jiaxing Prefecture. After the liberation, Wuzhen, west of the Shihe River, was placed under Tongxiang County and was collectively called Wuzhen.
Wuzhen is one of the first batch of Chinese historical and cultural towns, China’s top ten charming towns, nationally beautiful towns and towns, and a national 5A-level tourist attraction. It is known as “China’s Last Pillow House”, with more than 7,000 years of civilization and 1,300 years of history. The history of the town is a typical ancient water town in the south of the Yangtze River in China. With a history of 6,000 years, it is one of the country’s twenty Golden Week forecast scenic spots and one of the six ancient towns in southern China. In 1991, it was rated as a famous historical and cultural city in Zhejiang Province; since 2013, the Wuzhen Theatre Festival has been held; on November 19, 2014, it became the permanent site of the World Internet Conference. On July 29, 2020, it was selected into the list of reconfirmed national health towns (counties) in 2019.
In 2017, Wuzhen achieved a GDP of 6.031 billion yuan, an increase of 12.1% over 2016. From October 20th to 22nd, 2019, the 6th World Internet Conference jointly organized by the National Internet Information Office and the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province will be held in Wuzhen, Zhejiang.
